Sleep and anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic: A systematic review

In this review, we combined studies that evaluated the relationship between sleep during pandemic and increased incidence of mental disorders, primarily anxiety since outbreaks infectious diseases are associated with triggering psychological distress changes in quality quantity sleep. Method: This study used an integrative review to critically coherently analyze resulting from COVID-19 health. For purpose, a last 5 years was carried out LILACS, Scielo, Pubmed databases using descriptors “sleep”, “sleep disorders”, “anxiety”, “epidemics”, “pandemics” “COVID-19". Final Considerations: short, pandemic, serious alterations biological rhythm, chronotype habits university students, health professionals, population general, intense prevalence disorder. Thus, suggests impact quarantine is broad, substantial, can be long-lasting. addition, need for more research focusing on theme evident, identify obstacles consequences social restriction thus develop effective strategies improve population.
